While they don’t serve a real function in today’s highly computerized world, the Pilot Watch was a critical tool in the early days of aviation. The watch was worn by pilots during WWI and WWII and allowed clear, accurate timekeeping by a plane’s crew.

The required characteristics  for a Pilot’s Watch then and now are straight forward: clean, legible dial design most often with a black dial with white markers. That is it.
